Oostelijk Havengebied
This area forms the approach to the IJsselmeer and the entrance to the Amsterdam Rhine Canal via the Oranje locks. Moorings are located here for inland shipping vessels.

Click to enlargeThe Sumatra and Surinamekade quays are located on the northern side of Java island. These moorings are designated among others for vessels which use the waiting time and resting regulations.

Vessels must report to the Amsterdam Port Service, VHF channel 14, on arrival and departure. It is obligatory to use the electricity cabinets. Other commercial shipping can also use these moorings. They must also use these electricity supplies.

There is a car drop-off point with adjoining berth for taking in supplies at the back of the IJhaven on the starboard side. The mooring can only be used for these purposes. In the future there will also be a car drop-off point to the outside of the Java island.

The other harbour basins in the eastern harbour area are no longer used by commercial shipping, with the exception of the eastern corner of the Entrepothaven.
