Click to enlargeThe Amerika harbour is a multipurpose port for oil, coal and edible oils. The area between the Australië harbour and Azië harbour was specifically designed for the transhipment and processing of building materials.

Two standby berths at the end of the basin are used for inland shipping, one of these being designated for vessels transporting dangerous goods. A car drop-off point/assembly area is located here. A similar standby berth for dangerous goods is also located at the southern side of the Australië harbour.

Mooring buoys which serve as waiting berths for vessels carrying dangerous goods are located on the eastern side of the Amerika harbour.
