Better results for Amsterdam ports

The final figures for 2002 goods transshipments surpassed even Amsterdam's expectations. Total goods handled in Amsterdam Zeehavens (ports of Amsterdam, Zaanstad, Beverwijk and Velsen/IJmuiden) did not increase by the 2.4% announced in January, but rather by 3.1%. And the final result of 70.4 million tons for the first time ever exceeded the 70 million ton mark.
